Housewarming party

Well, perhaps "party" is a misnomer. I don't do "parties". I associate the word "party" with preppy American kids drinking beer out of plastic cups, shagging in Mom and Dad's bedroom and vomiting, well, everywhere.

Anyway, we had our housewarming on Saturday. It was a bit of a race against time to get the garden finished on time, but I managed it. What a trooper.

There weren't a huge amount of people who came, but quality is more important than quantity I suppose. There were a few who couldn't make it, which is always a shame. The whole thing kicked off at about 3pm, and the last stragglers (including me) bedded down at about 1am.

Mistakes I made:

- All the vegetarian food went first, leaving some people hungry. Sorry. To be fair, there was a veritable array of tasty snacks which people tucked into.

- Bought too much food. Better too much than too little, I suppose...

On the whole, it was fun. It was commented that there were some rather bold topics of conversation, such as why men's bike saddles are unsuitable for ladies, and the merits and demerits of Charmin loo roll. And it is always good to finish the evening off with pizza!
